Give your child their best day with Little Zion Preschool

B2K Curriculum

What is Bridge2K?

Our program is designed specifically for 5-year-olds. Different from Pre-K and offering a curriculum tailored to kindergarten readiness goals while nurturing each child’s unique strengths. We provide: Individualized skill development to meet each child where they are. Homework that reinforces learning at home and builds early responsibility. A 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio for personalized attention. Music, art, and gym integrated into daily learning, with special scheduled time for each. You’ll find the same LZP excellence you’ve come to expect: Dedicated, talented teachers who bring passion to the classroom. The right balance of structure and flexibility for an engaging learning environment. Parent/Teacher conferences to track progress and set goals together. Family events that build community and celebrate growth. We prepare children not just for kindergarten—but for a lifetime of learning and confidence.

The Christian Foundation

At Little Zion, we partner with families to help each child grow in their relationship with God. Children learn that God loves them, forgives them, and cares for them. In the classroom, this looks like: Student-led Jesus Time where children take an active role in sharing faith. Exploring and asking questions about Bible characters and stories. Engaging in 1-week, 2-week, or month-long learning units focused on faith topics. Pastor Time with special visits to deepen understanding and connection. Our goal is to weave faith into everyday learning, guiding children to know and love God.
Executive Functioning

Early development of independence and organizational skills helps children thrive in learning. Practices include daily sign-in/out, personal learning spaces, responsibility for their area, and active participation in schedules, rules, and expectations.

Early Reading/Literacy Focus

Foundations in phonics, sight words, and letter recognition lead to comprehension and story understanding. Activities include songs, storybook creation, Level 1 readers, classroom books/comics, story wands, and reading/letter/sight word games.

Science & Social Studies Units

Science and social studies rotate daily, with topics shaped by student interests and questions. Activities include Science Spin Magazine, community projects, guest visitors, and month-long units for deeper exploration.

Early Math & Logic Focus

Early math confidence is built through games, writing, and challenges—showing that math is more than numbers. Activities include block challenges, measuring and critical thinking, adding/subtracting, and estimating, quantifying, and decomposing numbers.

Social & Emotional Skills

Success in school starts with strong social and emotional development—confidence, self-regulation, maturity, empathy, and healthy emotional expression. These skills grow through time, practice, and intentional activities like class community projects, “Look What I Did!” displays, individual/small/large group learning, and playtime for socialization.
