Hi! My name is Carly Hernandez. I am an assistant teacher in the Preschool room, and I am in the B2K class for part of the day. This is my second year working here. I am also going (back) to school at Southern CT State University for my bachelor’s in education. I have two wonderful girls, 4 and 7 years old. My younger daughter goes here, and we love it, both as a family and staff member. I love the creativity that goes into all our lessons and the social aspect we encourage in the classroom. My favorite part is how we talk to the children about God and Jesus. We bring stories of the Bible into our arts and crafts. It is so cool to hear them say, “God made everything and us.” I try to relate to the students so I can better engage them in learning and having fun. In my personal life, I enjoy dancing, learning Spanish, growing in my faith, and of course, being with my family. We watch movies over and over, learn all the lyrics to the songs and dancing to them. My favorite movie is Tarzan, and my favorite animal is gorillas.
