Hi! I’m Mrs. Carrano. I’ve been a Preschool Teacher at Little Zion since 2022. I’m originally from Brazil, where all my family still lives. I graduated from college in 2007 and first came here to improve my English – but I fell in love with this country and never moved back, except to visit. I’m married and have a son who graduated from LZ in 2018.

I love that LZ offers a solid academic, social, emotional, and spiritual curriculum – so important in the early stage of a child’s development. The social-emotional aspect of learning speaks deeply to my heart, as I enjoy self-reflection, meditation, yoga, and time in nature. In the classroom, we take lots of deep breaths and work on understanding our feelings while recognizing and validating the feelings of others.

Teaching little ones brings me so much joy, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them as they discover the world, grow in kindness, and build the foundation for a bright tomorrow.
